Sorry for my longer than usual hiatus, but my school work is really piling up this year! But anyway I still make time to show you all a newfound favorite outfit of mine. I chose to feature this outfit on the blog to show you how both loose shapes of clothing (like the pants and the belle sleeves on the shirt) work together perfectly. Oh and though this is not related to fashion, please keep Paris in your thoughts, I know I will.

Bonjour! The city of lights shone very bright with the looks sent out this season. Starting off with Valentino, words cannot explain how beautifully intricate the clothes are. Valentino took on an African sort of vibe with giraffes and other animals printed on their wonderful fabrics. Saint Laurent showed off what it does best: effortlessly cool clothes. And I mean very cool. Who would have thought to pair dainty slip dresses with sparkling tiaras?

Louis Vuitton showed us a futuristic side this season, and I liked it! The embellishments were exquisite and the shapes of the clothes were great as well. Lanvin remains each season classy yet so fun and energizing. The clothes always something every girl wants, and the flower ties around the neck were my favorite accessories. Dries Van Noten makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. The exuberant colors and the clash of fabrics makes me squeal with happiness. Karl Lagerfeld every season makes me so amazed at what he can do. The show held in a Chanel inspired airport? Let me book my flight! The clothes are so exciting and like nothing you will ever see. Truly a one of a kind. This season at Balenciaga was truly Alexander Wang’s best. The crisp whites on the silky fabrics were honestly breathtaking. I will miss Mr.Wang terribly. Anthony Vaccarello made me believe in the power of sex appeal. I am usually your go-to-girl for a turtleneck not a low cut top. But wow, I now see the light! And finally Alexander McQueen was pure romance. I was transported to another time. I long for the elegant details of each garment and wish I owned each one right.now. And that concludes my fashion week coverage. It was fun (very very much fun). See you next season, Paris! Au revoir!

Hello all! Finally fall has arrived! And with the help of my friend, Em, she helped me pull this look together. This coat is one of my favorites, ever. The swans on it are so beautiful and the colors on this coat are yummy. As you probably see I am wearing these jeans again (because I love them so). And this turtleneck is the coziest thing I own.

And now here we are in Milan! The beautiful fashion capitol offered some fantastic looks this season. Starting with Dolce and Gabbana, the clothes of course are gorgeous and luxe in detail but what I loved more than anything was the story each print told. The model was a traveling gal who I could tell was well versed with the ways of the world. Etro this season was feminine in all the right ways with the clothes easy structure and sophisticated prints. So many looks were gorgeous and breathtaking. Giamba was just pure fun. It appealed to me so much because at my age of 17, I would adore to wear any of those flirty looks. Now onto my true love, Gucci, my heart skipped several beats seeing this exuberant confections float down the runway. There was not one look I did not covet, Michele has done wondrous things with Gucci and I will wait restlessly till March to see whats in store for next season. You can always expect sleek and polished pieces from Prada and this season was no different. The clothes were elegant with the additions of sequins and other details like the bright colors. Versace just keeps getting better as each season goes by. Donatella Versace is brilliant with her sexy pieces and fabulous prints. I will miss you Milan, till next time. Xx

I cannot even tell you how many pairs of jeans I own. There are far too many to count. I have to have a certain wash and a certain length and when it comes to it always the perfect fit. I cannot function if my jeans are too tight or really if anything is too tight… But then I found these jeans. My heart lept with joy as I snuck them from my mother’s closet (oh and thanks mom for letting me keep them!) and put them on. They fit!!! I honestly had no idea if they would since my mother may be the most petite woman on the planet. But hooray! Then I got to thinking what top would equally suit these superb jeans. My eyes found it in an instant, my new, crisp, white embroidered shirt. I put it on and paired the outfit with none other than my beloved clogs. They are heaven personified. Comfortable and they give my short frame some much needed height. I added some jewelry and looked in the mirror and was quite pleased with the look I concocted.

London Fashion Week. Just a jump across the pond, right? Well I can say for those who made the trek, boy was it worth it. Christopher Kane was a collection consisting of his wonderful mix of crazy colors. He said he was inspired by a car crash and the collection was a mad dash of color and shapes that worked effortlessly together. Erdem is every girls dream. A dream of pussy cat bows and delicate laces were seen throughout the collection. J.W. Anderson completely blew me away. The electrifying colors with the voluminous shapes were breathtaking and a breath of fresh air. But I will say my favorite collection would have to be the divine Simone Rocha. Everything about the collection screamed elegance but in a new and exhilarating way. With the criss-cross harnesses and the frothy skirts and dresses, my mind was left racing. My heart too.

I will start this post off with my highlights of NYFW. Oscar de la Renta was pure grace and polished beauty. Peter Copping has taken on so much and he has kept with Mr. de la Renta’s aesthetic but also he has made it his own with his beautiful designs. Proenza Schouler was everything I would have wanted and more. The classic color palette and the intricate detailing on the clothes was so wonderful. Also the shoes were something else! Prabal Gurung, one of the first designers I started following religiously, made me believe in him even more with this recent collection. The inspiration came from his hometown of Nepal and the clothes symbolized his love of his country. His luxe details and sensual silhouettes were his signature. Finally Marc Jacobs. I was left speechless. It was a thrilling show and the clothes just kept getting better and better as each model sauntered down the runway. Every look was so different yet they worked so well together. It was a chic circus but with a good-ole American look to the collection as well.

This week I saw some leaves change color. Yes, I know it may seem a little soon but is it too early to feel like fall? Maybe I am exaggerating because fall is my favorite season… I just love the feeling of slipping on my jeans once more and wearing something soft and comforting, like a turtleneck. These images I have chosen are just a few inspirational photos I kept in the back of my mind as the new season comes full circle.

Hello all! I finally have had some photos done by my wonderful friend (and practically sister!) Abigail. She let me use her fabulous jewelry and her mom gave me these shoes! To keep! Best. Day. Ever. I hope you all enjoy this look as I believe it will transition into fall with some cute clogs and a jacket. Voila! And you are ready for fall!

This week on tumblr I thought I would upload some pictures that demonstrate some style pointers for the upcoming, refreshing days of fall. The pieces in these looks will transition from anyone’s summer wardrobe right into the fresh, new season of autumn.
