Across the pond the action is heating up despite the low temperatures. First off, Christopher Kane’s show was absolutely delightful. I thoroughly enjoyed his more feminine approach and now can proudly say I want to own a pair of crocs, but only if they’re from his brand… The textures and plethora of colors kept me intrigued throughout the whole show, and if you look closely, another shoe design of his is heels with foam peeking out of course. He’s just trying to make heels more comfortable while starting probably one of the newest and most popular trends in the future.

Erdem was an absolute dream. Erdem Moralioglu’s inspiration behind his collection was the fantasy meeting of his two great grandmothers, and the result of that imaginary meeting was fantastic. I really love how he can make possibly the most frilly and girly dress imaginable but still manage to make it strong and innovative.

Even though Burberry’s collection is See-Now-Buy-Now for Spring 2017, it has to be one of Christopher Bailey’s best collections for the brand. I absolutely adored the use of white, khaki, and navy together, which may seem quite basic, but with the lace and the structure of the clothing, there was nothing basic about this collection.

Marques’ Almeida is street style gold. Any one of those looks could be seen on the street, and these looks are so wearable, fresh, and exciting because there is something for everyone in that collection.

J.W. Anderson was really fascinating to me. I can safely say every look I saw was like nothing I’d ever seen before, which, of course, is a testament to Anderson’s creativity. I especially loved the strapless dress with the raw zipper in the middle of the bust. It was so simple yet very elegant and new.

Mary Katrantzou was inspired by the movie Fantasia, and the clothes were exceptional. I miss her wacky prints and embellishments, but I think now she has progressed into a more mature designer, which translates in her clothes. Seeing the story of the movie play out in the clothes was a very smart way to make her collection even more cohesive.

Versus Versace always is just a badass show. Every. Time. This collection, neon mixed with grunge in the best way possible, and it made me want to buy a leather dress with slits up the side immediately. So that’s it for now! See you in Milan. Ciao!

Dior, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton, Oh My!

Resort season has begun! These Resort collections are the clothing women can have when they are traveling. The clothes are mostly pointed towards women who travel in the winter months. The Louis Vuitton show took place in Rio, Brazil. As evidenced by the photos, the setting for the show was absolutely stunning and surreal. Oh and so were the clothes! The collection gave off a sporty feel but was polished as well. The fashion house has been experimenting with a futuristic feel as well but the contrasting black and white color scheme was really classic. The pops of bright colors was a beginning for a nice, new addition for the brand.

If there is something you need to know about me is my immense love for Gucci. Alessandro Michele breathed fresh new life into this brand, and it was something this brand needed so desperately. Everything he does inspires me like how he held the show in Westminster Abbey. Like how cool is that?! The clothes were typical Gucci style but in the best way possible: fascinating shapes and exuberant colors along with intricate embellishments. Michele made even a chin strap on a hat look classy and covetable. A CHIN STRAP!!! Anyway per usual I was blown away and could not stop saving images to upload for this post.

The Christian Dior show was very intriguing. The leaving of creative director Raf Simons has left a gaping hole in my heart and I miss him so very much. The creative team has done a wonderful job with keeping the brand together and inserting their own takes on the future of the brand like mixing prints and having more colors featured in the collections they have produced. I look forward for the future of Dior and await each collection very anxiously.

Hello from London! It was a wonderful week all across the sea. First off, I have to say the Alexander McQueen show was truly mind blowing and so wondrous. It was elegant and luxurious, and it almost had an older hint at what the old Alexander McQueen used to be like when McQueen ran the brand itself. But Sarah Burton is a visionary and the show was exceptional. I love her work at Alexander McQueen, and she never ceases to amaze me. It is one of my favorite shows to date. Peter Pilotto was a combination of everything which I love. It had an Icelandic vibe which was quite enjoyable and the attention to detail in the clothing is miraculous. Simone Rocha! What can I say? It was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. The colors and the softness of the looks were fantastic. Erdem was a nod to the 1930’s in a truly spectacular way. I adored the fabrics and the textures and colors that were used in this collection. Christopher Kane was fun and exciting and quite a show to be seen. It was quite different from his last collection, but I loved his inspiration which was his mother. Mary Katrantzou was inspired by a space cowboy? What? But it payed off in the end because that collection was marvelous. Preen by Thornton Bregazzi was one of my favorite shows from London. I adored his use of colors and prints and most of all… Sequins! (Check out that pink sequined dress!). That it all from London by me! See you soon in Milan.

London Fashion Week. Just a jump across the pond, right? Well I can say for those who made the trek, boy was it worth it. Christopher Kane was a collection consisting of his wonderful mix of crazy colors. He said he was inspired by a car crash and the collection was a mad dash of color and shapes that worked effortlessly together. Erdem is every girls dream. A dream of pussy cat bows and delicate laces were seen throughout the collection. J.W. Anderson completely blew me away. The electrifying colors with the voluminous shapes were breathtaking and a breath of fresh air. But I will say my favorite collection would have to be the divine Simone Rocha. Everything about the collection screamed elegance but in a new and exhilarating way. With the criss-cross harnesses and the frothy skirts and dresses, my mind was left racing. My heart too.
